M02 MODEL 1904 CAVALRY NOSE BAGS

Item # M02

M02 MODEL 1904 CAVALRY NOSE BAGS We have had a lot of US Cavalry firearms and other items but I don't recall ever having nose bags. We have them now! As everyone knows, horses and mules were used extensively by the Military. They had to have some way to feed them. One is marked "US QMC" and the other has "QMC". One looks virtually unused and is very nice condition. The other is also nice but has a more rustic used look. These are a rare collectable for Cavalry related collectors or if you are a horse enthusiast they would look great on display. So get your nose bag on and buy these!

MHG653 UNIQUE BLOMBERG VAMPIRE KILLING KIT

Item # MHG653

MHG653 UNIQUE BLOMBERG VAMPIRE KILLING KIT Vampire killing kits were originally assembled by Michael de Winter who came up with the fictional character Dr. Blomberg. They contain a variety of items that will bring a vampire to his knees. This one contains a pistol made by Edward and William Bond (from 1840-1855). Inside the cover it lists the contents. This one has a Crucifix, bottle of Holy Water, a wooden stake, as well as several bottles of Garlic and other things to make Professor Blomberg's potent mixture to inject with a brass syringe. Extremely unique, unusual and rare. Ripley's Believe It Or Not! has the world's largest collection of these kits. With this you will be able to fight off those evil blood suckers!

MHG566 FLINTLOCK TRAP GUN/CEMETERY GUN

Item # MHG566

MHG566 FLINTLOCK TRAP GUN/CEMETERY GUN This flintlock is English made with "G. Jones BIRM m" on the lockplate. It has a huge bore. 1-1/8". A very strange contraption that was used in the late 1700's into the early 1800's supposedly for use against poachers around their traps and also for grave robbers. The grave robbing part would work pretty good since once you dug down to the gun and tripped the wire you would get shot and fall in the hole. They would just have to cover it up again. The cond is actually VG. The flintlock parts all there. A bit sluggish and may need tuning. The frizzen and pan do move. The hammer and activation is a little sluggish but does work. If you are looking for the odd and bizarre this would fit the bill!!

Antique  $ 5,500.

MSG887 VERY INTERESTING SET GUN

Item # MSG887

MSG887 VERY INTERESTING SET GUN Also frequently referred to as a"Cemetery Gun". Because surgeons and medical students could only legally dissect executed criminals or people who had donated their bodies to science, a trade in stolen corpses erupted. The cemetery gun was a dramatic way to discourage so-called "resurrection men." The gun would be mounted on a mechanism that allows it to spin freely. Cemetery keepers set up the weapon at the foot of a grave with three tripwires around the grave. A prospective grave-robber, stumbling over the tripwire in the dark, would trigger the weapon—much to his own demise. This one is well marked. The lock plate is marked with a "GR" and a Crown. Stock has the name "Marriott" branded into the bottom and the upper left side. The 2 halves of the stock are held together by riveted bindings. This is one of the best ones I have seen as they are usually in pretty tough shape. Definitely old and authentic and a very interesting and unique piece of early history.

Antique  $ 4,500.

MR1050 EARLY ORIENTAL MUSKET

Item # MR1050

MR1050 EARLY ORIENTAL MUSKET A small light thing with overall length at under 3 feet and weighs under 4 pounds. A very simple firing mechanism that is some form of a matchlock but not quite the standard looking matchlock. Bbl is very heavily pitted and cleaned. The spring and firing mechanism does work. There is some slop to it. The wood is too good and makes me think it is not a couple hundred years old. Whoever did the work on it did a very nice job and there is some varnish applied in the last 50 years. A nice decorative item that won't take up much room and its cool!

M902   VICTORIAN ERA SUIT OF ARMOR Closed helmet. Fully articulated features. The suit measures 67" height. Mounted on a stand it is 75". The suit was cleaned a long time ago and fitted with all fresh leather straps. This is a genuine antique suit that was probably made pre-19th century. Quite a number of these have been made through the 1900's to replenish the stock that were liberated in all the castles in Europe. A fair amount of quality went into making this one. A new one would run about $10,000 in today's market. This one is a bargain!
