W432A SPECIAL ORDER 1892 WINCHESTER
Item # W432A
Lots of goodies on this rifle including the rarely seen 26" oct bbl, uncheckered pistol grip stock, metal nipple top buttplate, cal 44 and to top it all off it falls in the antique serial range. Good looking rifle with 80%+ blue remaining on the bbl. There are some spots of oxidation, mostly towards the muzzle of the gun. Likely from poor storage. All blue does show through. Very nice markings. Good blue on the receiver also with some areas of light oxidation from storage. Has some serration lines which are aging line. Looks very nice. Still has a lot of case color on the lever and hammer. Wood is good overall and lightly sanded and re-finished. Shy at the toe and slightly shy at the tangs. Forearm wood is in nice condition also. A Cody Research Form confirms the configuration.
Antique $ 5,950.

W1526 WINCHESTER 1892 44 SRC
Item # W1526
Well sort of, at least that is what it started it's life as. There has been some changes done to it through the years. Bbl is 22". It is now marked "Model 92". The 92 looks a bit suspicious like it may be covering up a 53. Another oddity is the forearm which looks like a 64 forearm. The receiver has been re-blued. If I haven't lost you yet please keep reading. There is a bright side to all this. One being a "put your sunglasses on" brilliant bright bore! More good news, as stated, it has been nicely re-blued making the receiver look very nice. Wood looks nice and fits nice. No cracks or losses. Absolute smooth tight crisp action. This would be a great gun to take out and have fun shooting!
Modern $ 1,775.
W441 WINCHESTER 1892 SHORT RIFLE
Item # W441
At least it is now. It likely started out life as a 24" round bbl. It is now a 20" round bbl in cal 38 WCF. Magazine has been modified to about a 2/3 length. Bbl is blue/brown aged patina. Also an aged medium brown frame. Somewhat early gun being in the 220k serial range. Bore has scattered pitting but overall good condition. Action is nice. Buttstock is in better condition than one would expect. Fit is relatively good to both upper and lower tang. Coat of oil was rubbed on years ago. The forearm is nice except for a chip missing on the right hand side towards the forearm cap. This gun has a few warts but is still a good solid gun and well worth the price.
Modern $ 895.
W432 HIGH CONDITION WINCHESTER 92
Item # W432
This is a very late take down 92 being almost 1M serial number. Looks like it was bought and then rarely used. Bbl retains 98%+ remains. Mag tube also. The take down ring an aged blue which is normally the first area to change color on these. Finish is also aged on the forearm cap and crescent buttplate. That is the nature of the beast on these late 92's. This is the late version of bluing that had the tendency of flaking. There is flaking at the front of the frame and also flaking on the bottom tang. Top of the bolt also exhibits some flaking. The rest of the finish is all there. Cal 32 WCF with a pristine bore. Exceptional Winchester 92!
Modern $ 4,750.
W465 WINCHESTER 1892 44 CALIBER SRC
Item # W465
The good news is that it is a 44 cal SRC. This gun has been used. Someone knew they had a good rifle and they used it a lot! The whole gun is a brown color with oxidation throughout. No one has tried to clean it and it has an honest "done that" look. Right down to the fact that it has a split at the bore. I don't know if it had been used to shoot Carp or what? Split is right at the bore coming down to the bbl band. Action is sluggish but all parts appear to be present. Wood has the normal crack off the forearm. Buttstock is off a rifle since it is a crescent buttplate. It does fit well to the frame and both tangs. This would be a great gun to hang over the fireplace! Comes with some sort of letter of history from Mexico.
Modern $ 1,075.
W359 WINCHESTER 1892 SRC
Item # W359
Standard configuration carbine in 38 WCF. Turn of the century gun made in 1900. Nice bbl blue with normal wear to the sides and mag tube. Receiver has pretty much greyed out with a little blue in protected areas. VG+ bore. Nice bright and shiny with great rifling. Action is smooth. Nice wood on this carbine that has been freshened.
Modern $ 4,175.
W330 ANTIQUE 1892 WINCHESTER RIFLE
Item # W330
Nice early gun at just over 20k serial number. Oct bbl, full mag, crescent buttplate and cal 38 WCF. A good eye appealing gun with a nice vintage look. Bbl is blue towards the muzzle end and a more brown color towards the frame. Don't quite know if someone has put a little bit of finish on it. No sanding or anything has been done but color is just a bit different. Mag tube has no dents and has an aged color to it as does the frame. There is about 25% blue on the frame with the rest being a silver mostly at the carry point. Nice fitting wood with all 4 corners good. The forearm does not have the often seen crack. On the bottom of the stock behind the lower frame is a brass circle that looks like it may have had a letter on it at one time. Don't quite understand what that was? All in all this is a very nice Winchester 92. Antique 92's and 94's are seen for sale less and less. Here is your chance to own one at a reasonable price. Comes with a copy of a Winchester Letter.
Antique $ 2,275.
W663A SPECIAL ORDER 1892 WINCHESTER

W289 FACTORY ENGRAVED WINCHESTER 1892 SHORT RIFLE
Item # W289
This rifle has a host of features including the Factory Engraving, 20" oct bbl, take down and to top it off 44 cal! The bbl is mostly a grey with some blue in protected areas. Receiver has had a lot of wear and the orig engraving is faint in areas. This is the style 10 engraving with the deer on the left side. The deer is barely visible but the engraving still does show up. Extra figure wood that was sanded and oiled at some time. The extra figure really stands out. Crescent buttplate. The forearm is in about the same condition and has the typical crack in the upper corner and a slight piece missing from the left hand side. Good bore. A very unique special order Winchester with the Letter to prove it! .
Modern $ 7,250.
W273A CUSTOM WINCHESTER 1892 RIFLE
Item # W273A
This gun was lavishly done with contemporary engraving and gold inlays. All is complemented by beautiful deluxe wood. Cal 32 WCF which has been re-stamped on the bbl as has "Winchester" on the upper tang. This gun was custom built, custom re-furbished and has quite a bit of eye appeal! Another good thing about this oct bbl rifle is the antique serial number being in the 140k serial range.
Antique $ 3,475.
W73 WINCHESTER 1892 SRC
Item # W73-26-184
In the desirable 44 cal. A nice gun but some one has done some cleaning on it. Obvious on the bbl which is mostly a grey color. The mag tube is blue. The receiver is also grey. Some oil staining near the buttplate and a sliver out on each side near the upper corners of the frame. No cracks. Overall VG cond. Very nice special order Winchester.

Cal 25-20. Special order carbine with a button mag. Nice blue on the bbl. Receiver is almost totally a grey color. 800k serial range. Action works good. Bore needs a good cleaning and should clean up to be good. Stock is shy at the upper and lower tangs and also quite shy at the butt plate. A coat of something has been added. Modern $ 1,375.
W89 WINCHESTER 92 OCT RIFLE
Item # W89 -26-178
Cal is a custom gunsmith stamping "38". I checked the round and 38-40 does fit. This gun has been re-finished. The blue would only be called fair. It was way overbuffed. Bbl address is very faint. They even buffed out the serial number and reapplied number 1. Based on the upper tang stamp style this rifle was most likely manufactured some place in the serial number range between 475000 and 502000 which corresponds to 1909 production. There are the occasional guns in 1910 with that tang but not common. The wood is relatively good but the finish does not match. The buttstock has a filled hole on the bottom. Forearm is a nice piece of wood. Orig rear sight missing the elevator. The front sight is a strange modified thing. Action is good. Bore is fair to good.
Antique $ 1,395.
W1650 WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 SRC
Item # W1650-26-185
38 WCF. Standard carbine configuration with full length mag tube and carbine sights. A good looking gun with quite a bit of finish remaining. Nice bbl blue with just light wear in spots. Receiver still has quite a bit of blue. This is getting close to the 700k range when they did have some flaking. Exhibited somewhat, mostly on the left side. The rest is good blue. Good fitting wood in VG cond with no cracks. Bore is also good with light scattered pitting. Case colors remain on hammer and lever. The lever especially has some nice colors. A good looking Winchester!
Modern $ 3,950 .
W544 WINCHESTER MODEL 92 SRC
Item # W544 -26-186
Cal 25-20. Original sights. Excellent bore. Walnut stocks in excellent condition with very few minor blemishes. Complete with carbine style buttplate. I believe the receiver has been re finished. BBl and mag tube I don't think are. They retain about 95% original blue. The receiver retains 95% of an excellent re finish with one area by the serial number with some loss of blue and some pitting. Hard to tell it is redone if it is. Correct carbine sights and original saddle ring.
Modern $ 2,775 .
W203 INTERESTING 1892 WINCHESTER RIFLE
Item # W203
.38WCF Cal. Oct bbl, full mag and crescent butt. Receiver is a grey/brown patina with hints of blue in protected areas. The bbl has aged to a blue/brown color. Butt stock fits nice. It has a repaired chip in the upper corner and the orig piece was used. Nice and solid and fits good. The rest of the stock is in good cond. Good fit to upper and lower tang. Forearm wood is very nice and good fitting. Action is good. Bore is a bit rough and could use a good cleaning. This is a very interesting gun because it has "WRACO" stamp over where the serial number had been. Winchester would not do business with companies like Sears & Roebuck and others that would cut the retail price of their guns. Those companies would have to get the Winchesters they sold from other dealers or jobbers that would remove the serial number so Winchester could not trace it back to them as the source. When one of those guns with the serial number removed was returned to Winchester for repair, it would have the "WRACO" marking put on it, making them quite a rare specimen. An interesting rifle!
Antique $ 3,250.

Modern $ 2,150.
8484 WINCHESTER MODEL 92 DELUXE SHORT RIFLE IN 44 CALIBER SMOOTH BORE
Item # 8484-26-168
Orig 20 full oct bbl, full length magazine, orig sights, exc bore. Orig deluxe checkered fancy straight stock wood is in exc cond with metal shotgun style butt plate and correct short style forearm. Overall gun retains nearly all of the orig blue, shows very little signs of use. I believe this is one of the guns that was made up for the MGM movie company in the 30's; it has all the configurations of that grouping of firearms. They have appeared in a number of variations-almost all were 20" short rifles. This one has probably some of the most unique features I've seen and I think it is the most desirable. Very attractive. An asset to any serious Winchester collection.
Modern $ 18,500 .
