Light wear towards the muzzle. Front sight is a replacement with a higher blade. Mag tube is a bit strangely colored with a brown finish towards the muzzle and pretty good blue in the center. Buttstock is refinished and is slightly shy at the tangs. A couple slivers missing in the upper corners. Forearm is in good overall refinished cond. VG+ bore. Cal 30 WCF.

W986 FIRST MODEL 1894 WINCHESTER
Item # W986 -25-205
Yes sir! It does have the important 10 O'clock screw!! Rifle configuration with 26" oct bbl that is brown/grey color. Mag tube about the same with a little more grey showing. Receiver is also a brown/grey color. Metal is smooth and clean. VG bbl markings. Cal 38-55. Nice early gun with serial number 3530. Wood is nice fitting and good cond. Shows some wear especially towards the toe. May be a saddle gun? Buttstock has some sort of finish applied and most worn off down to what appears to be correct color Winchester stain. Forearm exhibits usual handling marks but in good overall cond. Bore is surprisingly good for being a 38-55. First model 94's don't come by often so don't miss out on this one! A decent gun.
Antique $ 4,250.

W1586 WINCHESTER 1894 SRC
Item # W1586 -25-244
There are very interesting markings on this 94. On the stock are the numbers "342" and "LAPD". We assume that is a rack number for the Los Angeles Police Dept but we have no provenance stating such. This gun is in the 810k serial range which puts manufacture date at 1917. It has had very little use. All the bbl blue is there and is bright and shiny. The inside is near perfect. The wood is very nice cond with just a couple of light handling marks. The receiver does have some flaking which is common in this serial range. A very nice low mileage with interesting markings.
Modern $ 2,775.
W1489 EXTREMELY SCARCE WINCHESTER MODEL 94 DELUXE RIFLE WITH SPECIAL ORDER SILVER TRIMM
Item # W1489 -25-221
Cal 32 Special. 26" half oct bbl with scarce full length mag tube. Orig sights include typical Winchester front sight, sporting rear sight and correct Lyman side mount receiver sight. Wood is very unusual. Special order straight stock checkered dlx grade wood with orig Swiss style buttplate. Fore end cap, receiver and buttplate retain about 97-98% orig silver finish having turned quite dark. Bbl retains about 98% orig blue. The only other time I have seen a gun like this was probably 25-30 years ago. I have not seen another since till now. Glad to get this one in. Probably one of a kind.
Modern $ 29,500.
W1531 WINCHESTER MODEL 94 RIFLE
Item # W1531 -25-236
Round bbl, full mag, crescent butt plate and cal 30 WCF. This 94 is in the 945k range where the receivers flaked badly. This one has nearly no blue on the receiver. Some blue in protected areas. Bbbl retains quite a bit of blue with some spots of loss especially around the Sheard sight. Standard flat top rear sight. Nice action. Bore is VG with no pitting. Some light roughness. Decent rifling. Wood fits and looks good. A decent 94 and would be a great vintage hunting rifle. A good honest gun.
Modern $ 1,195.
W1366 OCTAGON BARREL WINCHESTER MODEL 94

Cal 30. 26" oct bbl, full length mag and crescent butt plate. Serial number just over 1 million. Good looking rifle with most metal finish remaining. A little wear to the oct edges. Upper right corner there is a small spot of putty. A small chip out. Also on the forearm is a small portion that has been puttied. It does not detract from the gun. A very decent gun with all the desirable features.
Modern $ 2,150 .

W1441 WINCHESTER MODEL 94 IN 32 WS
Item # W1441-25-229
It appears this Winchester has been through some changes over it's lifetime. The serial number is 990k. The front half of the gun is off a 64. Where the model is stamped has been filed lightly and stamped 94. Bbl is 24". Another oddity, there is a saddle ring on it. Rear sight is the flip type and the front sight is the later 64 style ramp. Receiver has quite a bit of blue remaining. Worn at the carry point. A possible re-blue on the receiver. Maybe when they changed the bbl.?. It does look very nice. Shotgun butt on this butt with hard rubber butt plate that has a couple of cracks. Nothing missing. Stock is in VG cond with just a slight splinter missing in top right hand corner. Forearm is very dark but cond is VG. This gun does have a great bore going for it. This gun is just begging to go on a deer, bear or wild bore hunt!!
Modern $ 895.
W1290 ANTIQUE WINCHESTER 1894 SRC
Item # W1290-25-230
Nice early 4-digit serial number. Cal 32-40. Not too bad cond gun with the receiver mostly a typical plum/brown color. The bbl also displays the same color. Good bbl markings. A few dings and scrapes but overall good looking. Buttstock is also not bad. Good fit with just a little shrinkage at the toe. Some deep stain or oil applied years ago. Much has worn off but some still remains. Overall wood cond is exceptional for an 1894 gun. Bottom lever pivot piece is a brighter blue and most likely a replacement. Somewhat of an oversized saddle ring. Ladder style rear sight and standard front sight. The bore is way above average for a 32-40 and would be in the VG range. You do not find a lot of antique 94's anymore, especially in a saddle ring. This would be a great gun for any early Winchester collector.
Antique $ 2,500.
W1051 FACTORY GOLD INLAID WINCHESTER MODEL 94 RIFLE
Item # W1051-24-246
This is probably the best 94 that has surfaced in the last half dozen years. It is either a #1 gold inlaid or a #2. I am not really sure. It has 4 gold inlaid animals with a pair of moose in a setting on one side and a pair of deer on the other. Also features numerous gold inlaid lines with swirls and loops and borders. A lot of uncommon motifs on a Winchester. It is a high numbered gun in the 800k serial range. Features a 26" oct bbl in 30 cal. Orig sights include frat top sporting rear sight and Lyman folding tang sight. Pistol grip checkered 3X grade wood in excellent+ condition retaining nearly all the varnish. Shotgun style butt plate. Overall gun is excellent+ with 98% bright shiny orig blue with just slight toning on the high points. Beautiful gun inside and out. Would be hard to improve upon. The best 94 I have ever had and comes from the Arlin McCroskie collection. Guaranteed all original.
Modern Curio $ 225,000.
W617 WINCHESTER MODEL 94 PRESENTATION RIFLE
Item # W617-24-274
Cal 25-35. 24" half oct bbl. Globe front sight. Lyman flip up rear sight. Folding tang sight. Gun features D style carving on a pistol grip 3X grade deluxe wood which retains all the high gloss lacquer finish. Complete with a checkered shotgun style butt plate. The forend cap, take down ring, receiver and butt plate are gold guilted and retain about 90% of that guilting with just a slight toning to the color. Hammer and lever retain all the case colors. Bbl and mag tube retain virtually all the blue. A fantastic gun featuring #4 pattern engraving. Presentation was to " George Rutledge by R. M. Dudley January 1, 1912". New Mexico became a state that year and R.M. Dudley was a private detective at the time. Who knows what prompted such an elaborate gift? The gun came out of Sante Fe a number of years ago and is pictured in all the Winchester books. Very interestingly, on page 122 of the Winchester American Legend by R.L. Wilson, there is a layout of the Winchester Highly Finished Arms Catalog that belonged to one of their salesmen. His name, A.C. Albert, is written on the outside of it. Page 10 of that catalog lists this gun by the inscription and all the features. 25-35 cal, 24" bbl, gold guilting, carved stocks and the cost of labor.( Ironic that we found the historical significance of that Highly Finished Arms Catalog.) This gun is one of the best 94's in the country. All original complete with double set triggers. Engraved by John Ulrich as the lower tang is so stamped. Super gun!
Antique $ 145,000.
W703 DELUXE GOLD GILT MODEL 94 CARBINE
Item # W703-24-272
Finest finish possible being gold gilt receivers. The Carbine has the typical carbine style stocks. Fancy 3X walnut carved and checkered style in F pattern. The receiver is done in style No. 7 factory pattern of scroll engraving. Cal 30-30. Tang sight, flip up rear sight and typical carbine front sight. This gun is in superb condition with vivid case colors on hammer and lever. Nearly all gold gilt on the frame, buttplate and bbl bands. All the high gloss lacquer finish on the stock. Many special order features. A carbine with dlx wood and carbine style butt is very unusual. Only 19 carbines were ever engraved and only 7 of them had carved wood. Only about 90 94's had gold gilt finish. Very rare gun that is well documented pictured in several publications. Excellent inside and out.
Modern $ 95,000.

Item # W1141-25-215

Very interesting gun. All orig. I don't believe I have seen one like this over the years. A fine gun.

W1255 SCARCE WINCHESTER 1894 SRC 38-55
Item # W1255-25-228
You don't see a lot of SRC's in 38-55. This particuler gun is in well used condition but it looks like the user took care of it. Receiver has silvered out. Bbl has some blue in protected areas with the balance a brown/grey antique patina. Quite a bit of wear to the finish on the mag tube. Bore is fair with some roughness. Butt stock has numerous dings and scratches but fits nice to both upper and lower tang. Forearm has seen quite a bit of use and was evidently a scabbord gun. Dings and a slight piece missing by the bbl band but is solid. A decent old gun!
Modern $ 1,895.

Engraved on the left side of the gun is " Sheriff Bob Hodge Seattle 1910". A little research on Sheriff Hodge shows that he was quite a controversial figure in early politics in the Seattle area. He had aspirations to be a politician and made a lot of enemies. He was a very colorful figure who was arrested once and released almost immediately. He sought re-election and won. The people loved him but opposing politicians didn't. This gun is a wonderful condition gun that would add to any collection and has an interesting history.
