W2335 WINCHESTER MODEL 94 SADDLE RING CARBINE HOME GUARD GUN
Item # W2335
Given to an Attorney in New Jersey by the name of Werner Westervelt during World War I by the US Government for use as Home Guard defense. A letter written by James F Quimby states that Werner Westervelt was his wife's grandfather and that Werner later purchased the rifle to keep for personal use. This gun is in superb condition. It shows very little use with the exception of some nicks and mars . Correct carbine style buttplate that retains most blue. Overall metal is very nice with just some minor flaking of receiver on the left hand side. Correct sights and an excellent bore. A very fine gun. Complete with correct saddle ring.
