C431 COLT BLACK POWDER FRAME FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER IN CALIBER 44-40; 4-3/4 inch round barrel chambered in 44-40 caliber with a good bore that has visible rifling and some light pitting. Correct 2 line barrel address. Overall metal is a dull grey with slight traces of original finish. Markings on the barrel are “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER” on the left side as well as the Hartford CT address on the top. Nice functioning action. The Rampant Colt along with the patent dates are on the lower left side of the frame. The hard rubber grips are worn and faded but still in good condition. Manufactured in 1892.
