Metal surfaces are mostly an aged plum/brown patina. Markings are a little worn. 5 shot smooth cylinder. Iron trigger guard. Gutta Percha grip is in good condition. Nice functioning action. About 3,000 of these First Models were produced from 1857-1858. This one is serial number 425. An good example of a Remington Beals revolver.
