W2607 WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 FIRST MODEL RIFLE IN CALIBER 38-55; Full octagon barrel and full length magazine tube. Original sights. Bore has sharp rifling and would benefit from a good cleaning. Wood is sound and solid with just a few light mars and dings. Still retains a fair amount of varnish and has a rifle style buttplate. Overall metal is mostly a gunmetal grey with sharp corners and good screws. This is a good specimen of an early first model rifle.
