W348 INTERESTING PRESENTATION WINCHESTER 1876 IN CALIBER 40-60 WCF; Model 1876 rifle with 28 inch octagon barrel chambered in 40-60 caliber with full length magazine tube. Bright shiny excellent bore. Sights include a German silver blade front and flattop sporting rear. Most all barrel blue remains while mag tube is thinning to a gray patina. Receiver also retains most all shiny blue. One mar across the loading gate and light wear at the carry point. Good case colors on the hammer and lever. This gun was presented by R.A. Castleman to J. Hunter December 25, 1885. A brass presentation plaque is on the right side of the walnut buttstock which is in very fine condition. Crescent buttplate. Complete with a Factory Letter.
