W4200 WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 RIFLE WITH HENRY MARKED BARREL; 24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 44 RF caliber with a very good shiny bore. Sights include a German silver blade front and a 900 yard folding ladder rear. Clear barrel address markings. Most all blue remains on the barrel and full length magazine tube. Brass receiver looks good. Traces of case colors on the hammer while the lever is mostly a brown patina with just a hint of colors. Strong nitre blue on the loading gate. Straight grain walnut stocks are in good condition with a brass rifle style crescent buttplate. Sling swivels. Action works fine. The wood and barrel appear to be modern replacements and the receiver also appears to be artificially aged to perfection. Comes with a George Madis letter. This Second Model rifle was made in 1868. This is a very good looking rifle.
