W4320 WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 RIFLE CHAMBERED IN 25-20; 24 inch octagon barrel. The bore is about good showing mild roughness with sound rifling. Sights include a modified original sporting front, a folding rear and a Lyman combination tang sight. The receiver is a brown gray with fairly smooth surfaces but has “BAUGHT THIS GUN” / “MAY,1,1919” and “Roy DAVENPORT” / “MAY,1,1919” very lightly scratched into the left side and maybe “6 RABITS” and something else “???” on the right side. These markings are quite faint but are present none the less. The action is crisp and tight. Features a crescent rifle butt. The lightly freshened walnut stocks are solid and full fitting with typical wear and handling marks. Made in 1912.
