W4342 WINCHESTER MODEL 1885 LOW WALL RIFLE CHAMBERED IN 22 SHORT; 26 inch part octagon No.1 barrel shows about 80% finish starting to tone brown with light wear and handling marks. Very good bore is bright and shiny with decent rifling showing a few small areas of light pitting. Sights include a globe front sight, a filler blank in the rear dovetail and a cut down graduated peep sight on the tang. Blued receiver shows about 60% finish. Featues a nickel plated Swiss style buttplate. Straight grip walnut stocks are solid and full fitting with a coat of finish added, now showing wear and handling marks. Made in 1898.
