W4344 WINCHESTER 3rd MODEL 1873 RIFLE IN CALIBER 22 SHORT; 24 inch octagon barrel, full length magazine tube and receiver show 80% finish starting to tone brown with the receiver showing signs of a light cleaning having some very fine scratches in places. Very good bore is fairly bright with scattered areas of light pitting. Original sights include No. 21 Sporting front with nickel silver insert and No. 22 Sporting rear. Features a crescent rifle butt on walnut stocks showing typical wear and handing marks with a small crack on the left side of the forearm just ahead of the the receiver. Manufactured in 1897.
